Volunteering Weaves us Together promotional image for National Volunteer Week April 16-22

Thank you for being a part of the CORE Alberta community!

National Volunteer Week is April 16-22, 2023, as we celebrate volunteers across Canada, and the support they provide not-for-profits across the country. This year’s theme is Volunteering Weaves us Together: Strengthening the Fabric of our Community by Sharing our Time, Talent and Energy to Support One Another.

Healthy Aging CORE Alberta would like to thank the 24 million volunteers across the nation, especially the volunteers in the community-based seniors serving sector who help keep older adults in Canada healthy, active, and engaged! To learn more about National Volunteer Week, and how your organization can commemorate this special week, visit the Volunteer Canada National Volunteer Week website.

Would you like to nominate a volunteer that has been instrumental to you organization? Each year 1 national award and 20 regional awards are presented at the Canada Volunteer Awards (CVA). The Awards highlight the many ways that volunteering strengthens communities. The nomination period is open until April 26, 2023. Find details on eligibility or start an application here.
