On April 7, 2022, CORE Alberta hosted an event to showcase the work of Men's Sheds across the province. Men's Sheds are spaces where men like to connect, socialize, and learn. As men learn to build these inclusive communities, those who don't identify as men also benefit. More than a few women feel drawn to support these initiatives. Locally, we learned how this model for men's socialization fits into the rural/urban Alberta scene.

At this event, participants...

  • Learned how something as simple as a Shed can give so much
  • Learned about the history, why Sheds are needed, how they benefit the men, their families, and the community
  • Gained insight on how to start a Shed in their community
