[Webinar] Volunteers: Invaluable Asset or Liability Exposure?

event and training image

Volunteers are the vital lifeblood of non-profit organizations, their work brings value to every facet of our communities, but “employing” volunteers brings unique risk exposures, especially to cash-strapped not-for-profit organizations that can hardly afford costly and time-consuming litigation. In this 90-minute session, Tracy Eso from Intact Public Entities and Jessie-Lee Wallace from Volunteer Ottawa will discuss labour implications of a volunteer workforce: the training implications and requirements, the effective uses of processes and procedures to protect the organisation, and how employment practices may, or may not apply to your volunteer force.

Speakers:

Jessie-Lee Wallace, Executive Director, Volunteer Ottawa

Tracy Eso, CIP, CRM, ACI, Risk Assessment and Solutions Specialist, Intact Public Entities
