Train-the-Trainer Taking Action Against Elder Abuse Registration
Train-the-Trainer Taking Action Against Elder Abuse will take place on February 8 & 9, 2021. It is required that you are able to attend both days (full-day) sessions in order to complete the training. We also require that you have taken the Taking Action Against Elder Abuse training before, prior to signing up.
Please sign-up below if you are interested. We will email out confirmation in mid-January. Thanks!
Background: The Taking Action curriculum was developed to provide front-line staff with the foundational knowledge and skills they require to recognize and effectively and appropriately respond to incidents of elder abuse. It provides a common understanding of elder abuse and promotes a cross-sectoral approach to developing a shared understanding and learning amongst multiple, blended stakeholder groups. The target audience for Taking Action includes all front-line staff who in the scope of their work, interact with older adults and victims of elder abuse and family violence.
The Train-the-Trainer training will provide you with the information and facilitation skills that you will need to deliver the Taking Action curriculum.
The training will be offered through Zoom and will be broken up into 2 days (from 9am-12pm, and 1pm - 4pm each day). There is a limited number of spots available for each set of dates. Once the dates become full, we will email you and let you know you are on a waiting list.
