The Longevity Forum: Leveraging the Longevity Dividend

The NIA, alongside What's neXT?!, Women's College Hospital Age Lab and the University of Toronto’s Centre for Industrial Relations & Human Resources, is bringing together a multi-disciplinary group of local and global thinkers, influencers and decision-makers to explore the many opportunities that greater longevity offers to employers, governments, learning institutions and society at large.
The disruption of the past few years has provided both organizations and older individuals with the catalyst to reimagine expectations around various aspects of a longer, purposeful life. This reset needs a more concerted and collaborative effort among policymakers, governments, academics, employers and social entrepreneurs to help ensure our longer lifespans can be productive, dignified and purposeful.
The Future of Worth: Leveraging the Longevity Dividend will be a full day of engaging presentations, panel discussions and breakout sessions examining what all of us can do to live longer, happier and healthier lives, and plenty of opportunities to network with experts and your peers. The keynote speech will be delivered by The Rt. Hon. Adrienne Clarkson, 26th Governor General of Canada and Honorary Chair of the Advisory Board to the NIA.
Participants who attend the event in-person will receive a complimentary breakfast, lunch and networking cocktail, plus a copy of Andrew J. Scott’s book The New Long Life.
We’ll be discussing the benefits of, and barriers to, living our longer lives healthier and happier. Find out more about:
- The Impact of Longevity - The myths and realities surrounding older people and the potential economic and social impact of engaging older generations
- The New Map of Life - How an engaged life, full of vigor, intent and meaning is central to not just our longer lifespan, but our healthspan
