Theme: Updates to Seniors Benefits and Impact on Immigrant Older Adults

In this presentation, we will be discussing some of the recent yearly updates to the Alberta seniors' benefits.

This will be a circle conversation to discuss some of the changes you are seeing with the update and sections that impact immigrant older adults.

We encourage frontline staff to participate in this event as you will be the first to notice how benefits changes are affecting older adults in practice and what questions are emerging.

Some of the potential topics we will be discussing are:

• What changes have you noticed?
• How has this impacted your clients?
• What questions are you hearing most often?
• What questions do you have/are there any areas of the benefits that are confusing?
• What strategies or resources have you found helpful in supporting clients?
• What additional information or supports would help you better assist the older adults you work with?
