[Panel] Love, Care and Community-Centered Change: In conversation with Indigenous 2SLGBTQIA+ leaders

This June, in recognition of both Indigenous History Month and Pride Month, Volunteer Canada is excited to spotlight the voices of Two Spirit, Indigiqueer, and Queer and Trans Indigenous leaders.
This panel brings together researchers, community builders, and practitioners who are transforming volunteering, civic engagement, and community care across Turtle Island.
Grounded in Indigenous values of respect, reciprocity, and relational accountability, the conversation will explore how 2SLGBTQIA+ Indigenous communities are reclaiming and reshaping practices of care, often outside of mainstream frameworks. Panelists will share what community defined impact looks like, how volunteering is expressed through kinship, culture, and resistance, and the ways they are creating spaces of joy, safety, and belonging.
