Join us for a one-hour community of practice session exploring how strategic and intentional collaboration can strengthen services, improve outcomes, and create more inclusive support systems for immigrant older adults across Alberta.

No single organization can meet all the needs of immigrant older adults. Meaningful collaboration between seniors-serving agencies, settlement organizations, healthcare providers, cultural associations, municipalities, and community groups can help bridge service gaps, reduce duplication, and ensure older adults receive the support they need. Building and sustaining effective partnerships, however, requires intentional relationship-building, shared goals, clear communication, and a commitment to collective impact.

This interactive discussion will bring together professionals and community partners from across sectors to share experiences, lessons learned, and practical strategies for fostering successful collaborations that benefit immigrant older adults and their communities.

The Immigrant Senior Sector Connections Partners Meeting is held every second month and provides a space for professionals and community partners to connect around topics that matter to immigrant older Albertans. These sessions are designed as a community of practice, fostering open dialogue, peer learning, and collaboration.

Participants are encouraged to join the conversation circle to:

• Share examples of successful partnerships and collaborative initiatives
• Discuss challenges and opportunities in cross-sector collaboration
• Explore strategies for building trust, aligning priorities, and strengthening partnerships
• Exchange ideas for engaging community stakeholders and leveraging collective resources
