A Conversation with Distinguished Immigrants
A conversation with our inspiring speakers about their lived experiences on how they overcame barriers as Black immigrants in Canada.
Presented by the Black Empowerment and Excellence at SAIT (BEES) Committee in honour of Black History Month, join us for an enriching panel discussion featuring Dr. Caesar Apentiik, Developmental Studies Professor, University of Calgary, Chi Iliya-Ndule, Co-Founder and President, Calgary Black Chambers, and Shauna Porter, Anti-Racism Committee Chair, Calgary Police Service.
Our distinguished speakers will share their lived experiences as Black immigrants in Canada through stories of overcoming barriers and achieving success.
The panel discussion will include a question period with the audience — bring your questions.
We look forward to seeing you in Macdonald Hall (located in Heritage Hall on SAIT’s main campus) on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. A 30-minute meet-and-greet and networking session will follow.
