"Vax Hunter AB" uses Twitter to help find vaccine appointments

resource image

Albertans can book their vaccination appointment through a participating pharmacy, using AHS online, or by calling 811.  However, some are having issues navigating the system to successfully book a vaccination appointment.

“Vax Hunter AB” is run by two Edmonton women who help connect people with vaccination appointments and share the latest information on where vaccines are currently available. Their Twitter page posts new information regularly on which pharmacies and vaccination locations have appointments available to help Albertans get the soonest available slot.

If transportation to a vaccination appointment is an obstacle, seniors are encourage to contact 211 Alberta to be connected with transportation options in their area.
