The National Research Council of Canada’s (NRC) Aging in Place Challenge program
The National Research Council of Canada’s (NRC) Aging in Place Challenge program aims to support older Canadians in their choice to age in place through technology
and innovation. The program is committed to supporting a sustainable model for long-term care by shifting focus toward preventive home and community based care. The aim is to enable nursing homes to concentrate on older adults with the highest needs while reducing costs to the Canadian health care system. The program’s research also aims to inform federal and provincial policy decisions by contributing to the development of evidence based standards and guidelines.
