Six Strategies to Support Your Mental Health and Well-Being
Mental health and emotional well-being are critical considerations for our aging population. According to the World Health Organization, approximately 15% of adults aged 60 and over suffer from a mental disorder. May 2-8, 2022 is Mental Health Week in Canada, a week intended to raise awareness about mental health and well-being. This year’s theme is centred around empathy and supporting those who may be struggling by understanding and supporting them. While it is important to support those around you, taking care of your own mental health and well-being is also important.
