[Video] Rural & Remarkable Seniors | Watch Peter’s Story

This Seniors' Week, we’re celebrating the diverse voices and vibrant lives of older adults across Alberta, including those in rural communities who continue to shape the heart of where we live.
Meet Peter Wallace, a 75-year-old community champion from Vulcan, Alberta. Whether he’s volunteering with FCSS, driving seniors to appointments, or creating a welcoming space at the local Man Cave, Peter shows us what it means to age with purpose, compassion, and connection.
💬 “You have to try to keep people active… It’s about getting people out, getting people talking, and helping in any way you can.”
Peter is just one of many seniors whose stories remind us that aging is not a decline, it’s a continued contribution. Our communities are stronger when we uplift the voices of all older adults and recognize the richness they bring to everyday life.
🎥 Watch Peter’s story and help us honour the many seniors who are shaping their communities in quiet, powerful ways.
