resource image

Canada is facing an unprecedented housing crisis stemming from the lack of affordable housing units, a steep rise in costs of living that is out of step with income growth, leading to an increase in homelessness and billions in spending on emergency solutions including shelters and crisis response. It doesn’t have to continue this way.

The Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada) and United Way Centraides in Ontario, led by United Way Greater Toronto, launched a groundbreaking new report that lays out a costed, delivery-ready plan to solve critical issues in the housing crisis: Built for Good: Delivering the Housing Ontario Needs. The report outlines investment models that are scalable and can be replicated in communities across Canada.
