The CORE Transportation Group hosted a presentation and discussion forum on Alternate Transportation Service Providers’ response to COVID19 on September 10, 2020, which was attended by community-based seniors serving sector members from across the province including Calgary, Chestermere, Clairmont, Cold Lake, Edmonton, Hinton, Okotoks, Red Deer, Rimbey, St. Albert, St. Paul, Sundre, Three Hills, Valleyview, and Westlock.

The presenters were Dr. Bonnie M. Dobbs, Professor at the Department of Family Medicine and Director of Medically At-Risk Driver Centre (MARD) at the University of Alberta, and Emily Hussey, Research Coordinator, MARD

  • Provincial Transportation Needs Assessment - In 2016-2017, MARD conducted a Provincial Transportation Needs Assessment of seniors and persons with disabilities (PWD). In each of the reports below, there is valuable information on the unmet transportation needs of seniors and PWD and what these individuals think alternate transportation services should look like.
