How investment in caregivers builds stronger, healthier community: 'Your whole life totally changes'

The Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence (CCCE), in collaboration with the Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing (CISP), recently announced new efforts to enhance the well-being of Canadian caregivers, through a $1.8 million investment. In the coming two years, this funding will offer financial support to caregiver organizations such as Caregivers Alberta, Caregivers Nova Scotia, Family Caregivers of British Columbia (FCBC), and the Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO). The objective is to enhance the accessibility of social prescriptions for individuals fulfilling caregiving roles, whether on a permanent or temporary basis, both in their personal and professional capacities.
