The CRA released a statement acknowledging that some charities may be unable to meet their filing obligations due to extraordinary circumstances, such as a fire or flood. In such cases, you are advised to contact the CRA Charities Directorate as soon as possible to discuss your situation. This will help ensure that your charity remains in good standing. The CRA client service team is available Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, local time and can be reached at 1-800-267-2384.
