[eLearning] Learn about Palliative Care with the Understanding Palliative Care e-module

resource image

Understanding Palliative Care is a short interactive module to help Albertans learn more about what palliative care is and the support it offers.

Understanding Palliative Care features the voices of three Albertans who have personally experienced palliative care. They explain how it provides physical, emotional, social and spiritual support, and what they think everyone should know about palliative care.

This module can be used to deepen your own understanding of palliative care or, for organizations that provide support to people living with a serious illness and their caregivers, be shared with clients or used to educate staff or volunteers about this important topic.

Understanding Palliative Care is a free and open access resource available here. If your organization would like support using Understanding Palliative Care for volunteer training or professional development, please contact the Palliative Institute.

Understanding Palliative Care was inspired by a public education module created by the All-Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care and developed by the Covenant Health Palliative Institute in consultation with a working group of members from across Alberta.
