Drive Happiness: Driving Rural Access to Vaccines
Drive Happiness is pleased to announce that we received funding through the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) as a part of their Immunization Partnership Fund (IPF) to carry forward a new project: Driving Rural Access to Vaccines (DRAV).
All acronyms aside, DRAV is simple, increase access to vaccines in rural Alberta. Through existing Drive Happiness services, we look to decrease barriers to accessing vaccinations, including transportation.
For this project specifically, we are looking to work with Northwestern Alberta, and we have excellent community partners in Grand Prairie who are helping us move this project along.
We are currently looking for support in the areas of:
- Volunteer driver recruitment - folks who would like to drive others or who can help us spread the word
- Community partners - organizations based in Northwestern Alberta who would like to work with us
- Vaccine champions - those willing to share their own experience with vaccinations
