Bringing the Voices of Canadian Seniors Together in the Fight Against Influenza

resource image

The Bringing the Voices of Canadian Seniors Together in the Fight Against Influenza project gathered important views from Canadian seniors about the barriers to influenza vaccination for the first time.

The project findings include:

  • The importance of prioritizing and implementing a life-course approach to immunization
  • The evident confusion around COVID-19 vaccines and influenza vaccines messaging
  • The importance of influenza immunization campaigns that consider the varying social determinants of health
  • The reality that health promotion and prevention requires collective efforts across all sectors and disciplines to improve adult influenza vaccination rates

The International Federation on Ageing is delighted to share outcomes of the Bringing the Voices of Canadian Seniors Together in the Fight Against Influenza project and welcomes you to share these through your networks.
