[Recorded Webinar] Alberta Age-Friendly CoP Diverse Seniors Webinar Series- Immigrant and Refugee Seniors
The Alberta Age-Friendly Community of Practice (CoP) is designed to help communities that are pursuing age-friendliness to connect and share ideas, best practices and expertise. The CoP also works together on matters of priority to the group. The CoP has planned a five-session webinar series focused on how age-friendly communities can foster a sense of belonging for diverse populations of seniors.
The Immigrant Senior Sector Connections group is dedicated to Increasing collaboration/connection of service providers who work with AB immigrant and refugee seniors.
This event was a collaboration between the Age-Friendly Community of Practice and the Immigrant Senior Sector Connections Interagency Group

Theme: Immigrant and Refugee Seniors
Seniors are a diverse group, including different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This session will discuss challenges immigrant and refugee seniors experience and explore ways to support their inclusion in age-friendly planning and initiatives that communities could undertake to support a “sense of belonging”. The session will include time for questions and answers.
