2SLGBTQ+ Older Adults
Older adults in the 2SLGBTQ+ community face all the same social, emotional, and physical changes that their heterosexual and cisgender peers face, along with added discrimination.
As people age, it is assumed they will have support systems in place. However, some people might not have any connection to their family of origin, or maybe they do not have children or grandchildren. This might mean they need to consider accessing new services to support them as they age. This might include housing, in-home support, food, and/or medical services related to aging or transitioning.
