news image

Edmonton 2 Spirit Society is receiving a provincial grant to create a safer future for missing and murdered two-spirit people, survivors and their families.

The $99,600 grant will go towards developing a plan to engage with and provide recommendations to address the Calls for Justice in the National Inquiry’s Final Report into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls as it relates to two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual plus (2SLGBTQQIA+) people.

Financial support will complement the Edmonton 2 Spirit Society’s work towards creating a future where gender-diverse people are fully recognized, respected and included.
