[News] Burlington Men's Shed stuffing backpacks help homeless

Homelessness is becoming more and more prominent in our daily lives because of rising prices, lack of affordable housing and the fact that many in society are forced to live "pay cheque to pay cheque." All it takes is an unexpected turn of events, a medical or mental issue or even a small occurrence beyond our control.
For those of us fortunate enough to have a bit of security, we can no longer look the other way. This growing problem raises the question, 'What can I do to help?'.
Each week, a group of men meet in Burlington for fellowship, to share common concerns, to keep active and engaged, and occasionally invite guest speakers to share their stories.
A few months ago, the Burlington Men's Shed group asked Laura Schnobb from Halton Housing Help (HHH) to talk about homelessness in Halton and what groups like the Men's Shed could do to help.
