[Join Study] A Modern Profile of the Volunteer Engagement Profession

news image

Volunteering is changing. Canada needs a new picture.

In the more than two decades since Canada last measured volunteer engagement nationally, the nonprofit sector has transformed. Leaders who support volunteers deserve advocacy, resources, and recognition. This study will help make that happen.

When volunteer leaders are supported and trained, they help elevate thousands of hours of meaningful community contribution annually. Together, we can strengthen the people who lead volunteering and strengthen communities across Canada.

What this data will build

  • Define the Scope of the Profession: Who is leading volunteer engagement in Canada
  • Develop Industry Standards: How organizations support and invest in volunteering
  • Build Measurable Factors: Differences across regions, sectors, and organizations
  • Create Needs Assessment: Define where support and resources are most needed

Help shape and share the profile of who is leading volunteering in Canada! Leaders of volunteers help organizations and volunteers across Canada to build strong and impactful volunteering communities.

You are invited to support the Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC) to build a modern profile of the Volunteer Engagement Profession – the first in 22 years. Survey #2 is out to those who participated in Part 1! It’s not too late to join!

Take 5 minutes and go to: VMPCprofessionprofile.ca to complete Part 1 and be invited to complete Part 2 and the rest of the study.
