Grants Will Support Diversity and Combat Racism

news image

Alberta is launching a new grant program to increase cultural awareness and help Albertans address racism.

The Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Grant Program is investing $1 million for community organizations to create projects that celebrate Alberta’s diversity and encourage Albertans to think and talk about anti-racism efforts.

Successful applications will support projects that improve understanding of Alberta's diverse cultures, highlight the challenges people experiencing racism face and/or help all Albertans better understand and take action against racism.  Community groups are eligible to receive up to $30,000 to support these initiatives.

Applications will be accepted until Nov. 16 and are open to Alberta-based non-profit organizations, including multicultural and faith-based organizations, First Nations and Metis Settlements.
