Gender Based Violence Survey: Share Your Insights (by November 30)

news image

Alberta recently announced plans to develop a 10-year strategy to end gender-based violence, and a bilateral funding agreement with the federal government. Through the continued dedication of our stakeholders, much work has been done in Alberta to address this critical issue, but more is needed to put a stop to the violence.

Once developed, the strategy will help guide funding priorities for the duration of this funding agreement and beyond to support our ongoing efforts to end gender-based violence. The funding of $54M over four years will also support the development and implementation of a made-in Alberta 10-year strategy to address this critical issue. The first step in the development of our 10-year plan is the launch of a public survey to hear from stakeholders and the gender-based violence community, including advocates and survivors, to ensure our work reflects all Albertans.

To share your insights, please complete the survey and promote to your stakeholders. The survey closes at the end of November and is available at Gender-based Violence Strategy | Alberta Online Engagement.

The survey is also available in multiple languages here (Chinese – Simplified, Chinese – Traditional, Punjabi, and Spanish).

Together we can work towards a future where no one has to experience gender-based violence.
