Caregivers Alberta launches new Work & Care Program
Are you or do you know a caregiver being pulled in multiple directions at home and at work looking for resources, support or someone to talk to?
Did you know that approximately one in four Albertans of working age (19 to 70) provide care for family members or friends while being employed?
Whether supporting a loved one with a chronic or long-term disability, serious illness, or age-related issue, caregivers are a vital pillar of support for our families, workplaces and social and healthcare systems.
Caregivers Alberta’s new Work & Care program is here to help employers and employees across the province learn what it means to foster a caregiver-friendly workplace and how to better manage the demands from our care responsibilities and paid work.
We offer online and in-person learning modules for employers, leadership and employees, and can work with your organization to help determine best-practices for supporting your workforce.
- Discover the benefits of caregiver-friendly workplaces: cost savings, employee retention, reduced downtime and improved employee well-being
- Find out how to implement policies and programs that will strengthen your organization and support your employees
- Access training for your managers and supervisors on supporting family caregivers at work
