[Campaign] Ageism Awareness 2024 Campaign
The International Day of Older Persons has been celebrated on October 1st globally each year since it was officially adopted by the UN in December of 1990. The day is an opportunity to officially recognize the contributions of older persons in society and to promote the development of an age-inclusive world.
In addition to IDOP, the American Society on Aging has identified October 9, 2024 as Ageism Awareness Day.
To correspond with International Day of Older Persons and Ageism Awareness Day, CCAA has prepared a nine-day campaign to promote ageism awareness. The campaign consists of nine social media graphics prepared in both official languages. Each image has a corresponding caption. The captions and images are designed so that they can be used as a complete campaign, or as stand-alone posts.
