Calgary and Area CBSS Organizations: We Want to Hear From You!
Healthy Aging Alberta is exploring the possibility of a common referral system for community-based seniors serving (CBSS) organizations providing home supports services to older adults within Calgary and surrounding areas.
Through autumn 2022 and winter 2023, we are hosting a series of stakeholder discussions to gain more insight into this issue. There are a number of ways to get involved in this process of discussion and evaluation through participation in: a user experience interviewand/or a two-day intensive strategic planning session.
- User experience interview: A 45-minute to one-hour interview to understand the perspectives and experiences of individuals or CBSS organizations with respect to service delivery, client navigation, and potential opportunities and limitations for a common CBSS referral system based on the lived experiences of those involved. An honorarium will be provided for participants’ time. Anticipated interview period from November to mid-December 2022. If you know of a client that would like to share their story on accessing home supports, or if you would like to share the experience of your organization working within the home supports system, please provide your information HERE and we will follow up with you.
- Strategic planning session: A two-day long (≤ 7.5 hours each day) strategic planning session to review project outcomes to date, follow-up on the systems mapping work, develop a basic design for a potential common referral system, and identify technology and governance requirements for the same system. At the conclusion of the sprint, participants will have a clear sense of the CBSS system and how a common referral system may contribute to serving service user needs and continue to develop the CBSS sector. Anticipated to occur the week of January 23, 2023. If you would like to participate, please provide your information HERE and we will follow up with you.
How will input from these events be used? Your participation in any or all of the listed events will help inform a series of recommendations for the development of a common referral system for the CBSS sector in Calgary and surrounding areas. Your input will be anonymized and summarized for engagement reporting, but the responses themselves will not be shared beyond the internal project team.
You are welcome to participate in one or more of the above events. Please let us know if you have any questions or if you cannot participate through one of the above events but would still like to offer feedback on a common referral system.
