[Article] Ponoka seniors rally to support local food bank
A significant amount of food was donated to the Ponoka Food Bank by a local retirement community.
More than 260 canned goods and non-perishable food items were donated by Seasons Ponoka Retirement Community.
The donations were collected during the retirement community's annual provincial campaign, which ran from July 3 to 14 in support of local food banks.
The Ponoka campaign was part of a larger initiative involving Seasons Retirement Communities across Alberta. By the end of the campaign, residents and staff had donated more than 990 canned goods and non-perishable food items to local food bank partners.
