[Webinar] Transforming Health Aging in Alberta- Priority Needs for AgeTech
This is a CORE Alberta Hosted event:
Be Part of the ACTION! Help us explore the priority challenges and technologies to support older adults, caregivers, and service providers!
The Innovation and Business Intelligence (IBI) and Provincial Seniors Health and Continuing Care (PSHCC) departments at AHS are working in collaboration with envisAGE to identify and engage with high-value innovations that can be evaluated and potentially adopted into the Alberta ecosystem. The ACTION™ (Align Challenges to Innovation Opportunities and Networks) Assessment is part of the work to bring together existing research, stakeholders' input, and existing/developing technologies to identify and validate priority challenges for quality aging and aging in place. This work will then feed into the envisAGE program and other funding opportunities to evaluate technology-based solutions to address these needs.
In a series of presentations and discussions, we aim to:
- Describe the envisAGE program and ACTION™ Assessment process and goals
- Conduct polling of priority area needs amongst CORE members
- Breakout sessions regarding why those selected areas are a priority and ideas for solutions that may be an opportunity to remove the barriers for quality aging and aging in place
