Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Council and Healthy Aging Alberta are pleased to share with you our educational series Elder Abuse in Ethnic Diverse Communities - The Power of Collaboration. This session was repeat hosted May 15-17, 2024.


Webinar Overview:

This one-hour webinar focused on understanding the unique challenges faced by older adults experiencing abuse in ethnically diverse communities. Dr. Rose Joudi presented her research and learnings at this event. Through a collaborative lens, this workshop explored strategies for service providers, law enforcement, faith-based organizations and community members to address elder abuse collectively and engage directly with victims and their families with increased cultural competency, fostering a more supportive environment.
