Free Rapid Testing Available for Albertans with Cold and Flu Symptoms – PREPARED study

The University of Calgary and the University of Alberta are inviting community members who feel unwell to take part in a research study called PREPARED.  Community members who are experiencing cold and flu symptoms—such as a runny or stuffy nose, cough, fever, wheezing, sore throat, difficulty breathing, tiredness, rapid breathing, a lot of mucus, or a loss of smell or taste—may qualify for free rapid testing.

This study aims to enhance patient care, improve system efficiency, and help detect future pandemics. Eligible participants will be referred to a local testing site, be asked to provide information about their health, and consent to the collection of two swabs. Find out what you have right away with PREPARED!

If you are experiencing symptoms, text 1-855-600-5644 to see if you qualify!
