Congratulations Town of Cochrane on your Age-Friendly Alberta Recognition Award

On November 21, 2025, the Government of Alberta officially recognized the Town of Cochrane for its commitment to becoming a more age-friendly community and for developing a comprehensive age-friendly action plan. As part of the award, this accomplishment will also be acknowledged by the Public Health Agency of Canada and the World Health Organization.

The Cochrane Age-Friendly Committee received feedback from stakeholders and public input to identify how the community will offer facilities and services to help better meet the needs of older people. Through this initiative, the Town of Cochrane demonstrates its strong commitment to building an inclusive, supportive, accessible, and healthy community for everyone.
Congratulations to Cochrane for its leadership in promoting a vibrant and inclusive community for all residents to enjoy.
