What is National Volunteer Week?

Every April, Volunteer Canada leads the National Volunteer Week (NVW) campaign. This year, NVW is happening April 14–20, 2024. NVW provides a chance to celebrate the vibrancy and impact of volunteerism in our communities and nationwide. This year’s theme is “Every Moment Matters,” emphasizing the importance of each volunteer and their unique contributions, particularly now, when support is needed more than ever. Volunteer Alberta, in partnership with the Government of Alberta, aims to support communities throughout the province in celebrating the outstanding contributions of volunteers, past, present, and future.

No matter how big or small the gesture, every moment matters! Let’s celebrate the collective impact we make when we come together to nurture the well-being of our communities.

There are two grant tiers available:

• Host Site: $600
• Feature Site: $1,200

Please the 2024 Grant Guidelines for all eligibility details. These grants, provided by the Government of Alberta and distributed by Volunteer Alberta, offer a fantastic opportunity to thank and recognize your amazing volunteers for their invaluable contributions.
