National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to celebrate the vibrancy and impact of volunteerism in our communities and across our country. Every April, Volunteer Canada leads the National Volunteer Week (NVW) campaign. In partnership with the Government of Alberta, VA hopes to support communities across the province in their own local celebrations of the wonderful work of volunteers, past, present and future.  

This year, National Volunteer Week is April 16-22, 2023. This year’s theme is: “Volunteering Weaves Us Together”

How do I apply?

All interested applicants must: 

• Utilize the online application form linked below, or send a scanned version of the approved paper copy of the Grant Application Template.  
• Attach a Direct Deposit Form  
• Acknowledge the Government of Alberta and Volunteer Alberta on all promotional materials.
