Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Grant (Jan 17 and Feb 21, 2024)

The City of Edmonton offers a grant program - the Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Grant Program- to encourage community leaders and organizations to be involved in this strategy. These grants are one way to empower communities to be involved and, in this case, advance community safety and well-being. 


Community leaders and organizations with initiatives or projects that address emergent community needs that make Edmonton a more inclusive city and improve community safety and well-being, and align with CSWB Strategy outcomes are eligible. 


Two granting Streams:


Collaboration Grant Program

The Collaboration Grant will help support organizations in their efforts to achieve the following:

  • Enhance the capacity of organizations to form sustainable and productive collaboratives that are working on addressing one or more of the Pillars, Outcomes and Principles listed in the CSWB Strategy 
  • Support organizations undertaking planning, research or policy development to enhance data-sharing, communication, knowledge transfer, and other sector-related gaps

Early Intervention and Intervention Grant Program


Early intervention and intervention can be defined in different ways, depending on the nature of the program area. The Grant will help support organizations in their efforts to achieve the following:

  • The advancement of one or more of the following 4 pillars and its outcome:
  1. Safe and Inclusive Spaces
  2. Well-Being
  3. Pathways in and out of Poverty
  4. Crime Prevention and Crisis Intervention
  • The embracing of the Community Safety and Well-Being principles
