Community Grants (Deadline: February 27, 2026)
Big or small, your organization’s needs are important — and our Community Grants program can help.
ECF’s Community Grants program offers funding tailored to your organization’s unique needs—whether for renovations, equipment, program support, or other priorities you identify.
Our Community Grant recipients are diverse, as their projects are! Check out successful recipients on our Granting in Action site or through the Well Endowed Podcast.
- Stage 1 application closes Friday February 27 at noon (12pm).
Eligibility
Community Grants aim to support our local community. To be eligible for a community grant your organization must be both:
- A registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency or other qualified donee.
- Serve the Greater Edmonton Area (includes the four surrounding counties).
Applying for a Community Grant
ECF uses a two-stage application process for all Community Grant applications. Applicants are asked to submit a Stage 1 application during the month it is open. Staff will review all submitted applications after the deadline. If successful in stage 1, we will request a stage 2 application, which will include additional, clarifying questions that will be reviewed by volunteer sub-committees.
If the organization has not received a Community Grant in the last five years, the organization is eligible to apply for up to $50,000. If you have received a community grant in the last five years you are eligible for up to $80,000.
