CIP Operating Grant (Deadlines: January 30,July 15, 2024)

The Community Initiatives Program (CIP) aims to foster healthy, vibrant communities across Alberta. The program has been designed to support the efforts of non-profit organizations that contribute to their communities and to create opportunities for Albertans to engage with their communities. As a unique CIP stream, CIP Operating funding provides grant support to eligible non-profit organizations in Alberta that support social issues to enhance the organization’s ability to operate and deliver direct services to the vulnerable and disadvantaged in Alberta.

Eligible Applicants: Single Non-profit Organizations • Community Collaboratives

Funding Range: Up to $75,000

Matching Requirements: Core funding up to $60,000 must be fully matched through eligible community fundraising • Organization Development Funding up to $15,000 does not have to be matched

Annual application deadlines:

• January 30 – Front Office application portal will open on October 30.
• July 15 – Front Office application portal will open on April 15.
