[Canada-Wide] Petro-Canada CareMakers - Local Grants for Caregiver Programs (Deadline: Oct 17, 2025)

The local grant program provides financial assistance to community-based organizations across the country who are supporting caregiver directly. The Local grants are single year grants with a value of $7,500, and are accessible annually. Please note we are unable to extend a grant award or consider it beyond the year of award. We encourage applicants to factor sustainability into their project.

FUNDING AREAS OF FOCUS

It’s our goal to positively impact the lives of family caregivers in communities across the country by providing operational support for local programs providing the following resources:

• Educational programs
• Transportation
• Meal assistance
• Respite care
• Emotional, financial and community support
• Healthcare navigation to other types of vital assistance

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be considered for this grant, each applicant must:

• Be a registered Canadian charity
• Be supporting family caregivers at the community level
• Have the capacity to develop or continue work that is applicable to care partners in your community

The 2025 Local Grant application portal will open for 6 weeks from September 5 and close on October 17 by 11:59 pm Mountain Standard Time.
