Description of the Wild Rose Award:

The prestigious Wild Rose Award recognizes individuals or community service organizations and their dedication to recreation and parks, be it professional, volunteer, or philanthropic. It may be awarded to recognize long service, professional or significant personal involvement in support of recreation or parks endeavors on a provincial level.

Selection Criteria:

The nominee must have made a significant or outstanding contribution for long service, professional or personal involvement in support of recreation, culture, or parks endeavors in Alberta. Local and regional contributions are recognized however, impact at the provincial level is required.

Main components of the application:

• Nominee contact information
• List of significant contributions made by the nominee to the field of recreation, culture, and parks on a provincial level.
• Two letters or e-mails of support OR one letter/e-mail of support and a link to evidence of nominee's merit (award, clippings, etc.)

Deadline to nominate is May 31st.
