Men's Sheds Start-Up Grant
Deadline:
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. A decision on the application will be made within one month of submission within one month of being submitted.
Eligibility Requirements:
Up to $1,000 is available for Men’s Sheds that have not yet started or have recently been launched in their community. Groups of two or more individuals wishing to form a shed, or existing community-based organizations who can demonstrate an interest in starting a shed from men in their community, are eligible. Applicants from across Canada are encouraged to apply. Charitable status is not required for this granting opportunity.

We encourage all applicants to contact their provincial or national Men’s Shed association for mentorship and support in starting a Men’s Shed. If you are applying from:
- British Columbia, please contact the Men’s Shed Association of British Columbia.
- Alberta, please contact the Alberta Men’s Shed Association.
- Manitoba, please contact Men’s Sheds Manitoba.
- Ontario, please contact Men’s Sheds Ontario.
- Any province not listed above (i.e., one that does not currently have a provincial association), please contact Men’s Sheds Canada.
