Diversity Training Workshop Series

As a part of Centre for Newcomer's mandate to support newcomers and the receiving community in becoming diverse and united, the following workshops are being offered to help build both a settlement sector and a greater Calgary community that is welcoming and inclusive. 

These workshops are part of a series designed to increase the comfort, capacity and skills of both corporate and not for profit organizations, as well as settlement practitioners, managers, and other immigrant sector administrators.

The workshops provide practical tools and strategies on how to create safer spaces and serve competently all people. Topics include: Cultural Competency, Anti-Racism and Anti-Xenophobia, Competently Serving LGBTQ+ People, Cultural Allyship, and Indigenous Education.

Workshops are being offered through the Centre for Newcomers and others. Workshop bookings require one month or more advance notice of your requested dates.
