Contact the UCA for help navigating the utility market
Albertans that need help understanding their bill, reviewing the terms and conditions of contracts, finding rates and/or solving issues with their utility provider can call the Utilities Consumer Advocate’s (UCA) Mediation Team at 310-4822 during business hours or email ucahelps@gov.ab.ca. The UCA’s mediation services are completely free, and interpretation services are available in over 240 languages.
Check out the UCA’s website to learn more about how to choose a retailer and try the Cost Comparison Tool to see rates in your area, along with a breakdown of charges and the contracts.
As part of the Government of Alberta, the UCA offers unbiased tips and resources on how to make an impact on your bill.
The UCA also provides educational presentations for groups. Contact the Consumer Education team to arrange one for your staff or the community members you work with.
Remember, if you need assistance resolving an issue with your utility company or have questions about your electricity and natural gas choice, the UCA can help.
