The new CORE Caregivers Group is ready to launch! You are invited to the inaugural panel presentations and discussion forum during which experts will share their findings on the impacts of COVID-19 on caregivers and lead a discussion on supporting family caregivers.

Presenters include:

  • Dr. Jasneet Parmar and Dr. Sharon Anderson, University of Alberta, are principal investigators of the study: Alberta Family Caregivers: Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic
  • Dr. Gwen McGhan and Dr. Deirdre McCaughey, University of Calgary, are principal investigators of the study Impact of COVID-19 on Family Caregivers of People Living with Dementia.

This community-led Group intends to connect a network of professionals across Alberta who encounter caregivers in their work and will offer resources as well as educational and collaboration opportunities geared towards the challenges and needs of caregivers, and ways that professionals can best support them in their own communities.
