On March 23, 2021, the CORE Intergenerational Linkages Group hosted an event to bring this community of practice together in future ideation, collaboration and learning. We listened and learned from our wonderful guest speakers on how they have pivoted their programs in the pandemic. We then had a group discussion around what future activities, events and workshops this community would like to see. Connections were formed, and good energy was shared.
Our guest speakers were:
Holly Stadnicki with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Medicine Hat will be joining us to talk about all the mentoring programs they currently provide. She’ll also tell us about an exciting new intergenerational program they’re starting with “littles” and older adults where they will develop friendships.
Becca Barrington with GeriActors Theatre in Edmonton will also be speaking to us about how GeriActors has adapted in this COVID environment.
