The CORE Caregivers Group hosted a session on October 19, 2021, to share and introduce the new resource guide for missing older adults. The guide is for those who are at risk, and participants were able to hear from a member of a national working group focused on alert systems and other developments in Canada and around the world. The resource guide provides tips on prevention, strategies for preparedness and an understanding of what will happen if someone does go missing. You can access the resource guide HERE

The guide was developed in collaboration with the Calgary Missing Older Adult Resource Network which includes Alberta Health Services, Calgary Police Service, Calgary Fire Department, carya, Alzheimer Society of Calgary, Dementia Network Calgary, Calgary Seniors Resource Society, Kerby Centre, Bowmont Seniors Assistance Association, Calgary Chinese Elderly Citizens Association, Distress Centre Calgary, City of Calgary, Silvera for Seniors, and the United Way of Calgary and Area.

If you have any questions about the guide, please feel free to connect with them!
