The CORE Caregivers Group hosted their first discussion forum on November 24, 2020. There were over 100 participants from communities across Alberta, such as Airdrie, Barrhead, Bonnyville, Calgary, Claresholm, Cochrane, Edmonton, Edson, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, High River, Hinton, Innisfail, Jasper, Lac La Biche, Lethbridge, Okotoks, Red Deer, Rimbey, Rocky Mountain House, Rosedale, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, St. Albert, Stony Plain, Vegreville, and Westlock.

To continue the conversation, we encourage you to become a CORE member of the CORE Caregivers Group, which connects community-based senior serving professionals, volunteers, and allied and partners from all across Alberta who encounter caregivers in their work with resources and support in addition to education and collaboration opportunities. Caregiver (carer or care partner) is any person who takes on a generally unpaid caring role and provides emotional, physical, or practical support in response to physical and/or mental illnesses, disabilities, or age-related needs. By joining the CORE Caregivers Group, you can share and access resrouces, as well as ask questions and engage in discussion around the topics brought up at the disucssion forum as well as touch caregivers generally.
