This is a seniors’ centre from the comfort of home! Seniors’ Centre Without Walls is a free phone-based program that offers a variety of interactive health and well-being information sessions, recreational activities, and friendly conversation. It provides opportunities to socialize, learn new skills, and stay connected from the comfort and safety of home. New programs and topics are added regularly. Programs include games, exercise classes, meditation and mindfulness, nutrition, book clubs, coffee chats, and more.

Edmonton Southside Primary Care Network has recently shared with the CORE community their Seniors' Centre Without Walls Toolkit, which provides a step by step guide to planning, establishing, running and evaluating telephone-based seniors programming for home-bound or isolated seniors. This toolkit is meant to disseminate learning from both the New Horizons for Seniors grant funded project and the expansion, funded through the Aging Well in Community, established in Edmonton and run through the Edmonton Southside Primary Care Network.

Visit the Seniors' Centre Without Walls website to see their program guide and for more information about the program.
