Recognizing that the Protection for Persons in Care Act (PPCA) is an important law that promotes the prevention and reporting of abuse of adult Albertans who receive care or support services that are funded, directly or indirectly, by the Government of Alberta, the CORE Elder Abuse Group welcomed guest speakers Kevin Johnson and Susan Chandler, Nurse Consultants and Complaints Officers to provide an overview of the PPCA on October 7, 2021.

During the presentation, organizations were invited to email health.ppc@gov.ab.ca if they were interested in receiving hard copy posters (attached for your viewing).

For any other general questions, please phone the direct intake line at 780-643-0640.

To stay in the loop on future learning opportunities, events and the sharing of resources, we encourage you to become a CORE member and join the Elder Abuse Group!
